Jul 11, 2023
On the evening of July 11, Deye shares issued an announcement saying that recently, the company found that the micro-inverters produced and sold by the company reported by the media were inconsistent with the certification. The article mainly questioned the micro-inverters sold by the company to Germany because of The lack of relays does not meet the German VDE4105 grid-connected certification conditions. The company has carefully verified the content of the report, and the relevant situation is explained as follows:
Due to the deviation of the company's relevant personnel in understanding the difference between the above-mentioned VDE4105 and UL1741 standards, and considering the service life of the product, the company's micro-inverter products sold to Germany lacked relays. After the incident, the company immediately actively communicated with relevant German departments, relevant dealers and customers. At present, the company has proposed a solution for product upgrading, that is, adding an automatic disconnection device to the AC end of the micro-inverter. When the power grid or equipment is abnormal, the automatic disconnection device will be activated. It is effective and convenient for after-sales maintenance, which can bring better product experience to end customers.
The external relay solution formulated by the company is expected to complete the certification within one month, and then it will be provided free of charge to German and Austrian end customers who have installed Deye micro-inverter products. At the same time, in order to make users who use Deye products more trust in the micro-inverters manufactured by Deye, the company decided to extend the warranty period of the above-mentioned micro-inverters with external relays from 10 years to 15 years for free.
According to preliminary statistics, from 2020 to 2022, the sales amount of the company's direct sales of micro-inverters to Germany and Austria was 73.7755 million yuan, accounting for 0.56% of the company's operating income in the past three years. The product sales amount involved in this incident and The installation cost is relatively small, and it is currently not expected to have a major impact on the company's current performance, nor will it have a major impact on the company's production and operation. In addition, the company is actively communicating with relevant German departments, and the company will closely follow up and properly implement the solution. If there is any major progress, the company will promptly fulfill the relevant information disclosure obligations, and remind investors to pay attention to the relevant risks.
